# Quick Boost

## Description
"Quick Boost" is a module for AzerothCore that offers a fresh level 1 character an
optional boost to a configurable level, via a gossip option with the starting quest
giver in each race's starting zone.

Inspired by (and a from-scratch replacement for) the old, dormant `mod-level-15-boost`
module, whose gear/talent/glyph database tables were never populated, so its boost
option silently did nothing. Quick Boost skips the empty-database problem entirely:
starter gear is a small hardcoded per-class table in `src/mod_quick_boost.cpp`.

## Features
- Gossip option ("Boost me to level X!") offered to level 1 characters by the same
  starting-zone quest givers the original module used.
- Destroys starting gear and equips a small class-appropriate starter kit
  (weapon, chest, legs, feet).
- Grants a configurable amount of starting money.
- Restores the character to full health/mana after the boost.
- Teleports the character to their race's capital city (optional).
- Gives Hunter characters a tamed, race-appropriate starter pet (optional).
- Teaches every trainer-taught class spell the character qualifies for at the
  boosted level (optional) — otherwise a boosted character keeps only their
  level-1 starting spellbook, which is how a boosted Hunter could end up with
  a pet but no Tame Beast to re-tame it with.

## Configuration
See `conf/mod_quick_boost.conf.dist` (rename to `mod_quick_boost.conf` to use):

```ini
QuickBoost.Enable = 1
QuickBoost.Level = 15
QuickBoost.DestroyStartingGear = 1
QuickBoost.StartingMoney = 5000
QuickBoost.TeleportToCapital = 1
QuickBoost.GrantHunterPet = 1
QuickBoost.LearnClassSpells = 1
```

## Extending
`QuickBoost::_classGear` in `src/mod_quick_boost.cpp` is the obvious next place to
grow this: add more items per class/slot, make it data-driven from a DB table, add a
`.quickboost reload` command, etc. `_racePet` and `_raceCapital` follow the same
hardcoded-table pattern for per-race pets and capital-city coordinates.
